The Power of Influence

A question comes to mind when you think about….How many people do you influence during your daily life or did you make a difference in someone else life? Does your money influence others or your personality? Sometimes others are moved by the amount money people make and I guess that is why some believe money has power. Yes to some degree but money without a mission can’t too much do anything. You may or may not believe it, but there are some people waiting for you to take the lead and watching your life as example. It could be your very own children, co-worker, friend, or even a neighbor. People are always looking for leadership and the power to influence them just might very well come from you. You may be the patriarch or the matriarch of your family and that means many people are depending on you to get your act together and it does not free them from their personal responsibility; but it sure will make a lot difference if they see you take the lead. Our lives are being watch daily whether you know it or not, but the power that is in you can be very explosive and effective to the lives of many people. If you decide to take leadership in a positive way in your environment, people will be move by your effectiveness to take action. Oh yeah! Back to the money, just think if you had the money and a purpose with it, that money can go a long way and make a difference in somebody’s world. It could be use to help the under-privileged, start a great company that put millions of people to work, or using it to do mission work. So the money can have power and influence if the money has a mission. There are people who does have lots of money but don’t know what to do with it or have no power within themselves to make a difference in another persons life. I remember when my husband and I started doing community services within our city and never thought anyone knew about it but the people who were being help. Until one day we were going to make a decision to go into another area, but someone heard about it and many people requested for us not to leave. We did not even have any idea how people lives were being changed by the work we were doing, so it really encourage us to do even more. Throughout human history, people have always looked to a leader to lead them in the right direction. People will even be influence by negative influence but just think if they all can be positive influence, then we would never have to worry if our children are being misled or getting caught with the wrong crowd. I know it may sound funny but even if you are going decide to follow negative influence make sure you become a leader to say no. Even children at young ages are influential to their peers, just think when children play together there will always be a leader of the pack. The bottom lines is start looking within you and ask how can I be a positive influence to my environment and make a difference in my world. Do not look at where you stand today; look at where you could be if you make a change today. I know you are probably thinking “Who me”? Yes, you and don’t think twice about it anymore; maybe someone told you that know one will ever look up to you. You can make them out of a liar if you would just believe that you can. Remember, the greatest leader is the one who make a start.
